I just picked up the Jeff Hamilton Trio Live disc. Guys, you have got to get this one! This mans finesse, taste, time and brush and stick work is just phenomenal. I may have posted a thread concerning Jeff before and if so I apologize for the repetition. But, if you really want to study some stunningly beautiful interpretations on this instrument and incredible technique, get this one. PT.

Jeff Hamilton is a great player. For mod/contempo SA, I tend to lissten to he AWA a lot of Elvin, Tain, J-Deej, Ersk, Bill Stew, Will Ken, etc.

My old drumset teacher first turned me onto to him back in the early/mid-80's when Jeff was w the LA4. [img]cool.gif[/img]

My old drum teacher was studying w/Jeff at this time you mentioned above. He made the decision to stop playing top 40 gigs where you played live to recorded music at clubs. He used to bring his Remo kit--you know the one with the pop-on heads...remember Remo's pop-on head kits?
